Today's practice I was able to be in the flow much quicker than I thought.
Before the practice, I saw the tile Being with the Body, hence I was wondering if we were to be doing body scanning. Well, didn't expect it to be a standing body scan from toes to head. During the scan I was kinda distracted by the background chirping of the birds but was able to let the thoughts passed and continue with the guided scan. As I exhaled with the deep breath before ending the session and even after the session, I could feel both my feet were deeply grounded and both my arms (especially both palms and fingers) were with tingling sensations.
"We don't have to deal with anything in the mind until mindfulness and wisdom are ready. This is wise consideration and an important part of remembering that the goal of mediation is to cultivate the wholesome qualities of mind. Ultimately, it is learning how to take care of the mind." ~~Sayadaw U Tejaniya
Thank you for reflecting on your Wake Up Week practice! One insight I have gained from my own practice is that I don't have to be too concerned with how quickly I get into the flow of meditation each time. I just have to observe the experience and conditions one moment at a time - this in itself is a very important practice.
